Description of Work: The Work includes, but is not limited to: Replace existing boilers (in 3 boiler rooms) with new high efficiency condensing boilers. Replace existing primary and/or secondary heating water pumps. Replace existing heating water air separator and expansion tank. Replace boiler gas piping and gas regulators. Provide new mechanical controls. Bid Bond: Each contractors bid of $150,000.00 or more must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashiers check, or bid bond, equal to 5% of the total Base Bid only, excluding taxes. Make checks payable to the Renton School District; furnish bond executed by a licensed bonding agency authorized to do business in the locality of the project. Prevailing Wage: It is the responsibility of the bidder to go online to the L&I web page electronically to verify they have the most current prevailing wages at time of bid. Apprenticeship Requirement: This Project is estimated to cost one million dollars or more. This Project is subject to the apprenticeship requirements of RCW 39.04.320.
