Editorial Content Team is actively seeking updated information The city is soliciting bids from contractors for renovation and construction of a new fire station to be known at "Fire Station #90 Dudley" located at 160 Dudley Avenue, Thornhill, ON, L3T 2E6. The proposed structure is to be a 313 m2 addition to the existing private school on site, part of which is to be renovated to be included as part of the fire station. The work will include but is not limited to: - Excavation, compaction and grading; - Concrete masonry/walkways and curbs; - Landscaping/Sodding; - Resilient flooring - Rough carpentry; - Aluminum/steel doors, screen and windows; - Plumbing; - Painting. The City acquired the former St. Lukes Catholic School at 160 Dudley Ave. from the York Catholic District School Board on February 13, 2013. The property includes a 20,000 square foot circa 1955 school building located on 2.564 acres and is currently being utilized by the Cyrus Foundation for various educational programs, senior and youth clubs and various events. This project aims to renovate and expand 160 Dudley into Fire Station #90 Dudley and incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly features aimed to meet all compliance and requirements of the Ontario Building Code and LEED V4 Building Design and Construction and other Sustainable Design and Construction objectives set out in this tender to achieve a minimum of LEED Silver Certification.
