Renovation of an educational facility in Fortville, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

For the replacement of roofing at Mt. Vernon High School Athletic Building Questions regarding the project will be clarified by the Consultant. Bidding Instructions and Information: Bids shall be properly and completely executed on Indiana State Board of Accounts, Form 96, Revised 2013. Bidders shall also complete the Supplementary Bid Forms (included in the contract documents). Submit all original Bid Information and two (2) complete copies. Complete the entire Bid Form(s), including the Non- Collusion Affidavit, and the Bidders Financial Statement information as part of Indiana Form 96. Bidders are required to include a Bid Bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of their Bid Price. Bidder receiving awards shall be required to provide acceptable surety in the form of a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract. Include the cost of all bonds and insurance in the bid amount. Each bid must be accompanied by a signed and completed Non-Discrimination Affidavit (or MBE-1) in accordance with any applicable Minority Business Participation Policy and Rules. Each individual bid envelope shall be individually marked Roofing Bid: Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation , (Mt. Vernon High School Athletic Building) accordingly. Attention: Mr. Derek Shelton. The name of the Roofing Contractor and the Project Number shall be clearly indicated. Bids are to be in effect for 90 days. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible qualified bidder(s). Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Construction Schedule: Work under this contract can commence upon March 13th , 2023. Timely completion of the work specified is an essential condition of this contract. Work is to be completed on the Athletic Building by August 4th , 2023. The Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all bids; is not obligated to accept the lowest or any other Bid; and may waive any formalities in bidding procedure. Mt. Vernon HS Athletic Building: 1. BASE BID No: Roof Sections #1, and #2 - Remove existing ballast, EPDM roofing membrane, insulation and other roofing components down to the existing metal deck. Inspect the exposed deck for deterioration or damage and replace or repair as required and approved on a unit price basis. Section #1: Install one layer of two inch (2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened in accordance with the system manufacturer's wind uplift approvals. Install a second layer of two-inch (2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation in insulation adhesive, and a new fully adhered .060 mil PVC membrane roofing system. Section #2: Install one layer of one and one-half inch (1-1/2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened in accordance with the system manufacturer's wind uplift approvals, 1/4 " per foot tapered polyisocyanurate insulation and a new fully adhered .060 mil PVC membrane roofing system. Replace flashings and other components as detailed and specified. Upgrade metal work as detailed. Add wood blocking as required for increased insulation thickness and/or remove and/or replace deteriorated wood blocking. 2. The Contractor shall provide at his expense all materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation, etc., necessary for successful and total completion of the intent of the Contract. A. All Roof Sections Specified: Furnish and install specified roofing system and related components to Roof Sections per the contract documents. B. Roof Section #1 Scope of Work: 1. Remove existing ballast, EPDM roofing membrane, insulation, and other roofing components down to existing metal deck. Inspect the exposed deck for deterioration or damage and repair as required and approved on a unit price basis. 2. Install one layer of two-inch (2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened in accordance with the system manufacturer's wind uplift approvals. 3. Install a second layer of two-inch (2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, in insulation adhesive. 4. Install new metal edge detail, metal counterflashing, and other flashings as detailed and noted on the drawings. 5. Seal all existing gutter joints and downspout outlets. Resecure any loose or missing gutter brackets and downspout hangers. 6. Remove and replace wet and/or deteriorated wood blocking. 7. Install new perimeter and projection blocking to accommodate the new insulation height.8. Install new fully adhered 60 mil PVC roofing system. 9. Provide a 20-year RoofSMART(TM) Performance Warranty by the roofing system manufacturer. C. Roof Section #2 Scope of Work: 1. Remove existing EPDM roofing membrane, insulation, and other roofing components down to existing metal deck. Inspect the exposed deck for deterioration or damage and replace or repair as required and approved on a unit price basis. 2. Install one layer of one and one-half inch (1-1/2") thick polyisocyanurate insulation, mechanically fastened in accordance with the system manufacturer's wind uplift approvals. 3. Install a 1/4 " per foot tapered polyisocyanurate roof insulation in insulation adhesive, staggered with the underlying layers. 4. Install new through edge scuppers, conductor heads and downspouts as detailed and specified. 5. Install new metal edge detail, metal counterflashing, and other flashings as detailed and noted on the drawings. 6. Remove and replace wet and/or deteriorated wood blocking. 7. Install new perimeter and projection blocking to accommodate the new insulation height. 8. Install new fully adhered 60 mil PVC roofing system. 9. Provide a 20-year RoofSMART(TM) Performance Warranty by the roofing system manufacturer.
