The City of Ames is accepting bids from qualified contractors for the installation of three (3) Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station and related buried electrical lines and equipment for the Electric Department. Ames City Parking Lot X 300 Clark Avenue Ames, Iowa 50010 All responses must be submitted before the deadline. No late responses will be reviewed. No bidder may withdraw their bid for at least sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. The City of Ames reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to make such awards as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City. The City is requesting proposals from a qualified company (CONTRACTOR) to install a Level 2 Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station and related buried electrical lines and equipment at each site listed above. This includes, but not limited to, all work related to supplying power to the EV charger stations as defined in below and the attached drawings. 2.2 CONTRACTOR shall perform the following activities: o Provide and install conduits between utility source and meter pedestal/EV charging station o Provide and install an in-ground pull box (where noted on the drawings) o Provide and install concrete foundation for meter pedestal/EV charging station o Provide and install meter pedestal and circuit breakers o Install Level 2 EV charging station (provided by OWNER) o Provide and install wires between utility source and meter pedestal/EV charging station o Make all wiring connections and terminations (unless noted on the drawings) o Provide and install protective bollards (where noted on drawings) o Remove paving (as required) o Restore site (paving and ground cover) to original condition
