The City of Lancaster is seeking proposals to replace existing fencing at five (5) Water Treatment Facilities. The work is generally described as removal of existing six (6') fence and installation of new, eight (8') foot galvanized steel chain link fencing with maximum posts OC 36" minimum depth post holes with 2" concrete above and with a razor wire on top. Combined total fencing for all locations is approximately 12,330 LF. The project requires twelve (12) total man gates, eleven (11) total twenty (20') foot wide security gates (re-using existing locking hardware) and one (1) sixteen (16') foot wide security gate with new outdoor maglock mechanism. All required excavation, restoration and traffic control is the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor agrees to furnish all labor, superintendence, materials, necessary equipment, and other utilities and facilities for, perform all work necessary for, or incidental to, and perform all other obligations imposed by this Agreement for, the complete Work in connection with Fencing for Lancaster Water Treatment Facilities herein called for, all in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. All bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days from the date of the bid opening unless an award of the Contract is delayed by the required approval of another governmental agency, the sale of bonds or the award of a grant, in which case all bids will remain effective for one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the Contract price with suitable, reasonable requirements guaranteeing the performance of the Contract.10% percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all contingencies) and in the form of a Bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) meeting the surety requirements set forth herein. Clarifications must be submitted via PennBid by 5:00 PM on December 14, 2022, to be considered. A final Addendum (If needed) will be issued by 5:00 PM on December 16, 2022.
