**As of May 15,2024, project was awarded to Goodfellow Bros., awarded amount is $4,195,417.85.** General Description: The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control, storm water pollution control, clearing and grubbing, tree trimming, asphalt concrete grinding/removal, asphalt concrete installation, rubberized AC installation, asphalt dig out repairs, utility cover lowering and restoring to grade, survey monument adjustments, concrete curb ramp and sidewalk improvements at select locations, pedestrian pushbutton relocations, traffic striping and markings, and all other work as specified in these Special Provisions and shown in the Drawings. The City may also accept add alternative work items listed in the bid schedule, which includes improvements at 1650 Monument Boulevard, including sidewalk realignment, storm drain pipe and manhole installation, and private property relocations as shown in the Drawings. The bidder's attention is directed to the "Project Stabilization Agreement," section of the special provisions regarding the requirement to enter into a Project Stabilization Agreement ("PSA") for City construction projects funded in whole or in part with City of Concord funds where the engineer's estimate or bid amount exceeds $750,000.00. The PSA also includes a Helmets to Hardhats requirement. A copy of the PSA is attached and incorporated by reference. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor. Further, only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform work or labor or render service under subcontract to the subject contractor. The CityCouncil has ascertained that State of California prevailing wage rates are applicable for this and all City projects. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securitieswill be final.
