The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposal ("RFP"), and the resulting contract, is to obtain services from a qualified firm(s) to provide Playground Equipment, Outdoor Fitness Equipment, Site Accessories and Related Products and Services in accordance with the Scope of Services section of the solicitation. Please bring a copy of the request for proposal with you to discuss the requirements. Nothing herein is intended to exclude any responsible offeror or in any way restrain or restrict competition. On the contrary, all responsible offerors are encouraged to submit proposals. The County of Henrico reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals submitted. Pursuant to Henrico County Code Section 16-43, the award will be made by the County School Board of Henrico County, Virginia. Henrico County Public Schools (HCPS) is the sixth-largest public school division in Virginia, and is comprised of 74 schools and program centers, including 46 elementary schools serving a diverse population of nearly 22,000 elementary-aged students. HCPS is seeking proposals from Offerors with the experience, qualifications, and abilities to provide all services needed as we begin to replace various aging playground equipment and activity areas over time at selected elementary school facilities. The intent of this solicitation is to establish a contract(s) to provide turnkey solutions to meet various playground and recreation needs with companies offering and demonstrating the best overall solutions that meet or exceed the requirements of this RFP and future playground equipment needs. 2. Construction-Related Services are defined as building, altering, repairing, improving or demolishing of any structure, building or highway, and any draining, dredging, excavation, grading or similar work upon real property.
