A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Bids shall be rejected if not submitted within time, date and at place designated and if not accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond as specified in the bid document. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964. All contractors are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration), N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. (Contract Compliance and Equal Employment Opportunities in Public Contracts). Submission by corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies shall include a completed Disclosure of Ownership form (N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2). Submissions shall also include a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit. All requirements of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. The intent of this bid is for the Township of Hamilton to enter into a contract for the Van HornPark Restoration Project Phase I. Unauthorized fill was placed in freshwater wetlands, transition areas, and State-regulated flood hazard area ("FHA") on a portion of Van Hom Park referenced as Block 1519, Lots 2 and 75. The Township of Hamilton retained Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc (VHB) to evaluate unauthorized fill, quantify the material and develop a restoration plan. The Wetlands and Flood Hazard Area Restoration Plan was issued to the NJDEP on February 28, 2022 with a revision to the Wetlands and Flood Hazard Area Restoration and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control (SESC) Plan dated March 14, 2022 (herein collectively known as Restoration Plan). The NJDEP issued approval to the proposed Restoration Plan on April 4, 2022. The objective of the Restoration Plan (Phase I) project is to restore the wetland, floodplain functions and values to pre-disturbance conditions by: Removing approximately 5,075 cubic yards of unauthorized fill within the restoration area and disposing the material at an approved facility or site. Approximately 61 trees were cut and the remaining stumps are to be removed and disposed of. Regrading of the area following removal of the nonnative fill material and return the area to pre-existing elevations and contours. Additional Stone: Additional stone may be needed to access the work area. Awarded bidder is to evaluate the ground conditions prior to commence of work and discuss with Charles Thomas, Directors of Public Works or Township Designee to discuss the need of. approximately 50' of stone to be placed along the outfield fence.
