Renovation of a transportation facility in Alameda, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

This Request for Proposals is for design-build of the Ferry Terminal, site improvements and the off-site improvements required as further described elsewhere in this RFP. The work consists of furnishing Design Documents, Construction Documents, Permits, materials, labor, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, transportation and superintendents necessary for the construction of the Project as defined by the Preliminary Design Drawings and Technical Specifications (Bridging Documents) as well as reference materials. Questions Due Date - Online Portal - Deadline to submit Questions - Dec 7th 2022, 2:00 PM PST The Engineers Estimate for this Project is in the range of $6,000,000 to $7,000,000. DBE GOAL: 0.48% - SBE GOAL: 7.5% The Project includes in-water construction, new and refurbished structures, and the extension and relocation of utilities. This work includes but is not limited to, the following components: - Refurbishment of existing terminal. The Alameda Main Street Terminal (AMST) consists of a new steel float, fenders, mooring hardware, guide piles, donut fenders. - Reuse of existing aluminum walkway and boarding ramp system. - Replacement of existing gangway with canopy. - Replacement of existing bridge structure with canopies, and security gates. - Replacement of approach slab on grade - Upgrades to the existing electrical and mechanical systems. - Future electrical and mechanical upgrades for fast charging vessels. Scope includes but is not limited to: Demolition; Glazing; Doors & Hardware; Gates; Furnish Steel Piling; Furnish and Installation of Reinforcing Steel; Ready-mix Concrete Supply, Pumping, & Placement; Marine Fenders; Aluminum Gangway/Catwalk; Fabricated Metals (Miscellaneous Metals) Supply; Diving; Furnish and Install Mechanical/Plumbing Utilities; Electrical and Communications Systems and Equipment Signage; Fencing; Trucking; Surveying; and other scopes. NOTE: BUY AMERICA ACT requirements apply to this contract. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The Alameda Main Street Ferry Terminal is a high-use terminal that supports WETA operations seven days a week. It is important to keep all facilities in a state of good repair to support ongoing operations and safety, and the terminal shut down period shall be minimized to the maximum extent possible. The Terminal consists of a gangway, pier, bridge structures, piles, passenger float, and ramping. The engineer's estimate for this project is in the range of $6,000,000 to $7,000,000.
