The Work consists of the mobilization and demobilization of the Contractor's forces and equipment necessary for performing the Work required under the Contract. It does not include mobilization and demobilization for specific items of Work for which payment is provided elsewhere in the Contract. Mobilization will not be considered as Work in fulfilling the Contract requirements for commencement of Work. Construction of a reinforced-concrete, labyrinth-crested chute spillway; Decommissioning the existing vegetated, earth-cut auxiliary spillway by constructing an earthen berm across the control section; Installation of a riprap wave berm along the upstream slope of the dam; Construction of a riprap-lined apron at the downstream end of the chute spillway outlet, along with excavation of a new outlet channel; Construction of an internal drainage system within the downstream slope of the earthen embankment dam; Construction of a subsurface drainage system beneath the chute spillway; Raising and widening of the crest of the existing dam, as well as flattening of the embankment slopes; Lime treatment of the existing embankment surface, as well as the majority of proposed earth fill; Extension of the existing principal spillway conduit to accommodate additional earth fill; Construction of a riprap-lined plunge pool at the downstream end of the principal spillway conduit extension, along with installation of riprap in the outlet channel; Replacement of the low-level sluice gate and trash rack on the principal spillway riser structure; Removal of the orifice plates on the principal spillway riser structure. Chambers Creek Structure Site No. 129 is located approximately 3- 1/3 miles southeast of City Hall for Rice, Texas in Navarro County Work at the Project includes furnishing all materials, labor, tools and equipment for the upgrade of Chambers Creek Watershed Floodwater Retarding Dam No. 129 which shall include but not limited to: 1. Raising the top of dam by 1.3 feet, widening the crest to 20 feet, and flattening the upstream and downstream embankment shell to a grade of 3H:1V. 2. Constructing a staged labyrinth-crested chute spillway over the embankment; 3. Decommissioning of the existing earthen auxiliary spillway by constructing a new embankment section from the crest of dam to the spillway abutment; 4. Lime treatment of the existing embankment surface, as well as the majority of the proposed earth fill; 5. Installing a riprap wave berm along the upstream slope of the dam; 6. Constructing a riprap-lined apron at the downstream end of the proposed chute spillway outlet, along with excavation of a new outlet channel; 7.
