Renovation of a mixed-use development in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a three-story above grade municipal facility; and day care center.
he scope of the project entails the replacement of the existing roof and roof mounted HVAC equipment. The critical area of work are the 3-story building and the lower space with the daycare. The client has a planned shutdown of the site from August 7th to August 25th 2023. During such time the roof and associated roof mounted HVAC equipment must be replaced in to ensure a functional HVAC system to serve the building's occupants. The areas of concern are the 3-story building with RTU1, 3, 4 and associated exhaust fan and the lower space with the day care RTU2. Other roofs may be replaced either prior or after the shutdown. Structural reinforcement of the 3-story roof is required for the new RTU. The scope of work for reinforcement is to be executed prior to the shutdown on August 7th. The scope related to structural reinforcement must be performed on weekend between Friday at 4p.m. and completed by Sunday 9p.m. It is required that the space is retuned to its original condition prior to occupants return to site for Monday. All queries from Bidders, which arise during the Bid period must be received by the Consultant not later than December 12th, 2022, 5:00 p.m. via e-mail only.
