1. UCS BID ADVERTISEMENT - 2023 ROOF REPLACEMENT DESCRIPTION: Remove and Replace Designated Roofs at Eisenhower High School and Henry Ford II High School Each proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base proposal executed by an approved Surety Company or a certified check for the same amount made payable to Utica Community Schools. The bid security shall remain in effect for a period of sixty (60) days from date of bid opening. The bid bond or check delivery is conditioned to secure Utica Community Schools from loss or damage by reason of the withdrawal of the bid or by the failure of the bidder to enter a contract for performance if the bid is accepted by the Owner. Bidders may not alter, withdraw or cancel their bid or any part thereof for sixty (60) days after the time designated for receipt of the bids stated above. Successful bidders will be required to provide Payment and Performance Bonds in the amount of 100% of their bid, issued by sureties listed by the U.S. Treasury Department and licensed to do business in Michigan. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any total bid, or part thereof, and to award the total contract or part thereof to other than the low bidder. All decisions regarding contract awards will be final. SCHEDULE: The roofing work for the replacement projects must be accomplished during the summer break of 2023.
