The MDTA is issuing this solicitation for the purpose of recycling the MDTAs rubber materials. The work to be performed includes, but is not limited to, the removal and proper disposal of all scrap rubber materials produced by various facility operations. All rubber materials, placed in the onsite location containers, are to be removed from the facility location regardless of condition. Contract work includes providing 20 cubic yard containers for the collection of rubber materials for MDTAs use at each of the MDTA facility locations listed in Attachment P or as required for a special event(see Section 2.3.7) pickup or location not listed in the Attachment. At least one container shall remain on the property at each location until such time as the Facility Representative or Designee schedules a pickup. The Contractor is expected to pick up the container, remove it from the designated location, and supply a replacement container for the locations ongoing daily use. The physical placement of each onsite container, on MDTA property, shall be determined by each MDTA Facility Representative or Designee at their respective location. As this is an on-call, ad hoc service, the MDTA does not guarantee the quantity of rubber material at the time of pickup; however, Bidders may review the historical tonnage report located in Attachment Q of this solicitation for the quantities of scrap rubber material recycled historically by each facility location.
