6/12/2023: Currently I don’t believe there’s plans to rebid it – we only had one response and it was considerably out of budget, then the department ended up successfully hiring two individuals, so I think that alleviated some of the strain. IF it does go back out, it’ll be posted on our site as normal, but at the moment, the department hasn’t made any motion to put it out again. WVU PRT Electrical Trade Contractor 30000000 Structures and Building and Construction and Manufacturing Components and Supplies 72000000 Building and Facility Construction and Maintenance Services Provide experienced electrical contractor/laborer(s) to independently perform maintenance, repair, and modifications to the PRT electrical systems. West Virginia University on behalf of its Board of Governors (BOG) located in Morgantown, West Virginia (WVU or University) is initiating this Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit proposals from qualified, experienced, and licensed firms for to provide a certified electrician for PRT for maintenance work including but not necessarily limited to high/medium voltage maintenance, testing, and repair; interpretation of maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings; confined spaces; and participation in emergency response plans. Cutoff for Questions: December 12, 2022, 12:00 pm EST The proposal process is highly controlled. To protect the integrity of the process, any questions or clarifications regarding this Request for Proposal must be handled through the Department of Procurement, Contracting, & Payment Services. Questions are to be posted electronically, emails may be sent to the Procurement Officer (and only the Procurement Officer) at: Keith Bayles, keith.bayles@mail.wvu.edu ESTIMATED TIME PERIOD FOR CONTRACT: December 2022 through December 2023. West Virginia University reserves the right to extend the contract additional one-year periods for up to four (4) years at the sole discretion of the University and is subject to the availability of funds during the term. Est. Contract Award Monday, January 9, 2023 (week of) No Pre-Proposal Meeting To Be Held. The proposal shall be a single file in Microsoft Word or PDF format. Zipped files cannot be received by the University and cannot be used for submission of proposals. Any required submittal forms must have a scanned or electronic signature of the individual within the organization authorized to bind the Proposer to the offer, if applicable. The University does not assume responsibility for problems with Proposers computer/servers or other electronic issues. Proposers should allow sufficient time to ensure timely receipt of the proposal by the RFP Procurement Official. Late proposals will not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified from further consideration, unless the Universitys electronic submission method is found to be at fault. All proposals and any accompanying documentation become the property of the University and will not be returned. If you are having technical difficulty; you may contact the RFP Procurement Official prior to the submission due date and time to arrange submission via email, Dropbox or a comparable file sharing method. Proposals may not be transmitted by fax, email, overnight delivery service or USPS mail service unless otherwise permitted by RFP Procurement Official prior to submittal deadline. Proposers may submit more than one Proposal. All Proposals must comply with the requirements of the RFP except that additional Proposals may incorporate, by reference, repetitive information which is provided in the original Proposal. The University reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals received without penalty and not to issue an award as a result of this RFP. Proposals may be withdrawn by written notice to the RFP Procurement Official before the deadline established for receipt of Proposals. Withdrawals must be made on company letterhead and signed by an authorized representative of the Proposer. Proposals may only be withdrawn by the Proposers authorized representative, provided the identity of the person requesting withdrawal is established and the person signs a receipt.
