As part of a multi-year effort to advance a set of projects that will provide Hawkeye student-athletes in women's gymnastics, women's field hockey, men's and women's wrestling, and baseball, and men's and women's basketball with service and facilities that rank among the best in the country, the University of Iowa (Owner) is currently in the Schematic Design Phase of a project titled DUANE BANKS BASEBALL STADIUM - BASEBALL STADIUM RENOVATION and has been authorized by the Board of Regents, State of Iowa to proceed with procurement of Construction Manager Services where the Construction Manager is at-Risk. The Owner intends to retain a Construction Management firm to join the project team during the Design Phase and to continue through the Construction Phase, occupancy, and warranty period of the project. The Owner is requesting submissions from firms who can demonstrate they have resources, experience, and qualifications to provide Construction Management Services for the project This project scope will include: Complete renovation of the press box, bleachers, concourse, and improved entry to the Iowa Baseball Stadium. The project will expand stadium seating capacity, improve ADA access, improve spectator sightlines, seating, and safety netting, update restroom facilities, expand storage areas, create a larger and functionally modern press box, and expand safety netting. The project will remove and replace dug outs, renovate bullpen areas, replace field turf, provide a new data pathway traversing the field, upgrade sports field lighting, and add a picnic area. This work must be closely coordinated to maintain facility operations and minimize impact on surrounding facility operations, parking operations and campus activities.
