(828) 524-4460 ext 1046 tracy.tallent@macon.k12.us Macon County Board of Education invites and welcomes proposals for the replacement of the athletic track project at Macon Middle School. Based on your previous work experience, we invite your firm to submit a proposal for the replacement of the current athletic track at Macon Middle School. Please take the time to carefully read and become familiar with the proposal requirements. All proposals submitted for consideration must be received by the time specified above under the " THE PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE" Bidders should note that any and all work intended to be subcontracted as part of the bid submittal must be accompanied by the background materials and references for proposed subcontract(s) - No exceptions. Project Objective The objective and ultimate goal of the project is to repair/refurbish/replace the athletic track surface currently on the athletic facility on the school campus, remediate any drainage issues, and replace with a new urethane track surface. Project Scope and Specifications - Remove current urethane surface - Remediate and improve drainage, where possible, on the subsurface, and surface, of the the athletic track - Place a new urethane surface onto the track - Prepare surface with any markings required to have the track meet NCHSAA requirements for track meets.. Scheduled Timeline The goal is to have the track ready for the beginning of the 23/24 school year. Bidders will be notified if they are the chosen proposal by telephone notification, email, or regular mail. Bidders will be notified by March 15th as to the decision of the selection committee.
