No construction will happen. Came in way over budget. City of Conover is soliciting proposals for a Lead Based Paint Abatement Contractor. City of Conover has received a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Scattered Site Housing Project to rehabilitate homes. One home located on 1 st Street W, Conover contains Lead Based Paint that has twelve (12) lead based paint items to be addressed- exterior and interior door jambs/casings, window casing/sill/sash, interior walls, exterior porch trim, interior ceiling, and exterior mulch dripline area to be encapsulated or removed and surrounding areas cleaned to pass an abatement clearance test once completed. The General Contractor will install new items once the abatement process has past inspection You must be a certified lead-based paint abatement contractor and have the required documentation needed to complete the abatement Any questions regarding the bid documents must be directed in writing via e-mail at laurie.powell@wpcog.org .
