Remodeling of an educational facility in Renton, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.

A. Scope of alterations work is indicated on drawings. B. Renovate the following areas, complete: 1. Selectively demolish existing Lab 110 and its associated Office 110A, and Lab 111 and its associated office 111A, to extent indicated. Construct within the limits of these spaces new Offices 110A through 110J. Work includes new interior walls and doors, modifications to an exterior wall for the limited purpose of installing new storefront, replacement of finishes, modifications to the existing HVAC system to support new use, and modifications of the electrical systems to support new use. 2. In all areas of work, existing VCT flooring is adhered to slab-on-grade with adhesive known to contain asbestos. Owners intent is that flooring be undisturbed to the greatest extent possible. Where disturbance is necessary to complete new work, abate asbestos-containing materials in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. 3. The work of this Contract includes no site work. C. Refinish all surface areas of the following, as specified: 1. Interior and exterior walls at Building J have metal stud framing faced with gypsum wallboard (interior) and stucco (exterior). Base bid and alternate work include removal of items attached to existing walls shown to remain, and installation of items that will require access into these walls. Selectively demolish and patch walls as required for the new work.
