Site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Alice, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a road / highway; for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The work involved under this Contract is as follows: City of Alice Force Account - Base Bid Schedule 'A' work consists of new 6" PVC waterline to be installed by open cut along CR-116 and US Hwy 281 will be installed by the City of Alice work force. Construction activities may run simultaneously with this contract. Booster Pump Station Contract - Base Bid Schedule 'B' work consists of installation of a new Booster Pump station along CR116 to include site clearing and grading, 153 SY of site access driveway, 225 LF of fence, yard piping, concrete slabs, booster pumps/shelter and hydrotanks, chlorination equipment, electrical service and generator; and waterline extension, boring and steel casing along and across US Hwy 281 R.O.W. to include: 987 LF of 6" C900 PVC waterline, 6" gate valve (D.I.M.J.) & box, 6-6" 45 o bend (D.I.M.J.), 2-6" 11.25 o bend (D.I.M.J.), 628 LF of 6" FPVC C-900 (DR-18) waterline, 474 LF of 12" steel casing for 6" waterline carrier installed by continuous welding, 447 LF of 12" steel casing for 6" waterline carrier installed by direct drilling, 628 LF of 12" FPVC C-900 (DR-18) casing installed by direct drilling, seeding, disinfection, testing and inspection by City Water Department, and 474 LF of OSHA trench safety related to water system improvements. All previously mentioned improvements shall include all related appurtenances necessary to complete and place in service the improvements. All work shall be completed in accordance with the construction plans, specifications, and contract documents. Some improvements associated with this contract will be located adjacent to this contract areas. Contractor must coordinate closely with the City of Alice regarding construction scheduling. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the highest amount bid must accompany each proposal. Failure to provide the bid bond will constitute a non-responsive proposal which will not be considered. Failure to provide required performance and payment bonds for contracts over $25,000.00 will result in forfeiture of the 5% bid bond to the City as liquidated damages.
