For the 2023 Tennis Court Rehabilitation at Lakeville South High School The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in the bids. Each bidder shall accompany the Bid Form with bid security as described in the Instruction to Bidders. All contractors are to be licensed in the State of Minnesota at the time of bidding. School district will remove all nets, benches and re-install upon completion. Contractor to sand or grind surface in areas of Armor, fiberglass placement, or crack filling to level the "tenting" of the cracks back with the playing surface. No leveling is required of the court surface except the cracks. Rout out all structural cracks that are to be filled. Power wash surface to remove dirt. Fill cracks with court patch binder, concrete for the structural cracks that have Armor, re-fill cracks if necessary and grind smooth with surface. Note: In the areas for the fiberglass due do the numerous cracks, the contractor has an option to either fill the cracks with court patch or apply AR (2 coats may be required) with 12# of sand/gallon over areas that are to get fiberglass to fill in the cracks. Install Armor over the structural cracks per the plan sheets, install fiberglass over the surface cracks per the plan sheets. Apply one coat of AR over the Armor then apply two coats of AR over the entire surface. First coat to be in the east/west direction, second coat to be in the north/south direction. Apply two coats of color (red in the playing area, green in the outside). Apply two coats AR and two coats of color on sidewalk. All AR and color to be non-flexible paint. Mask, prime, and hand apply line paint (2 coats) for 78' courts. Clean up site. BASE PROPOSAL: Includes routing cracks, installation of 2,665 If of Armor, 16,742 sf of fiberglass, 1,018 If of standard crackfilling, cleaning of courts, 2 coats of AR, 2 coats of color, and striping Questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the consultant in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the Consultant as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date of bid opening will not be answered. Only questions answered by a formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
