Structure No. C006621015 For the construction of one concrete deck slab bridge and other related incidental work. The bids will be presented to the Otoe County Board for consideration on December 20, 2022 at its regularly scheduled meeting. The project is located on Road E between 20 Road and 22 Road in Otoe County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as Unadilla North, C-66(678) and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of a three span 100-83/4 concrete deck slab bridge on a 10 degree skew (lhb) with a 28 ft clear roadway, channel shaping, rock riprap, roadway grading and other related incidental work. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the Otoe County Clerk, Otoe County Courthouse, 1021 Central Ave., Room 103, Nebraska City, Nebraska 68410, and should be plainly marked as, Construction Bid Proposal: Unadilla North, C-66(678). Along with its Bid Proposal, each bidder shall submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Otoe County Treasurer, Otoe County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of the total Bid Proposal. Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and End of Construction date with its Bid Proposal. The desired completion date is August 1, 2023. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed seventy-five (75) calendar days for completion after beginning work at the site. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the engineer. Within ten (10) days following the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount of the contract. The surety and form of the bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Otoe County Board of Commissioners. Otoe County, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Dept of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Dept of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for award.
