The City of Kendrick - in accordance with IC 67-2320 - is soliciting interest from consulting firms to provide professional engineering services in the capacity of the City Engineer.Typical services include assisting the City in reviewing and recommending actions regarding development projects - updating City construction standards - preparing grant and loan applications - completing and amending Capital and other Facilities Plans - and design - bid - and construction engineering services. Services may include but are not limited to the following: water distribution and treatment - sewer collection - wastewater treatment - transportation - environmental - structural - electrical planning and engineering - and providing general engineering support for the City. Initial services will include providing design - bid - and construction phase engineering services for the City's wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). The City's existing WWTP is not currently capable of meeting NPDES permit requirements for both temperature and ammonia. Improvements will need to be designed and completed to address this deficiency. Services may include - but are not limited to - preparing a preliminary engineering report amendment - design of improvements to the wastewater treatment facility - support to the City during bidding - and construction engineering and inspection services. Alternatives explored in the preliminary design phase may include combining efforts with the City of Juliaetta and will require coordination and outreach to that community. Submittals are to include the following information: Firm name - address - phone number - and name of Principal-in-Charge together with the name of the Project Manager and organizational structure assembled to accomplish the project goals. Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria:;1) Key personnel; 2) firm experience with Idaho communities including past performance/references; 3) firm experience with wastewater treatment improvements; 4) familiarity with Kendrick's wastewater treatment facility and NPDES permit; 5) approach to city engineering. The City also reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this RFQ. No fees or expenses will be paid or provided for costs associated with the preparation of any response. Information and / or material received in response to this RFQ will not be returned. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
