The Library System is seeking bids to provide all labor, materials and equipment for the construction of a new branch library. Contractor shall provide all work and materials as described in the drawings and specifications prepared by Craig Gaulden Davis, 19 Washington Park, Greenville, South Carolina 29601. We have been provided a Boring Location Plan and the Architectural Design Development set of drawings by Craig Gaulden Davis (CGD), dated July 6, 2023. We understand a 13,000 square foot branch library and associated pavements and detention pond are planned on the approximately 3.87-acre wooded tract. The single-story building will be supported on steel stud framing with a concrete slab-on-grade with turned down footings and isolated column footings. We estimate maximum column loads on the order of 75 kips and maximum wall loads of about 3 kips per linear feet. Based on the grading plan and a finished floor elevation of 1021.75 feet, maximum cuts and fills for the building pad will be on the order of 2 feet. Also, maximum cuts for the detention pond. The Architect and the Architect's consultants shall be deemed the authors and owners of their respective instruments of Service, including the Drawings and Specifications, and retain all common law, statutory, and other reserved rights in their Instruments of Service, including copyrights. The undersigned Bidder agrees to execute a contract for this Work in the above amount and to furnish surety as specified within 10 days after a written Notice of Award, if offered within 60 days after receipt of bids, and on failure to do so agrees to forfeit to Owner the attached cash, cashier's check, certified check, U.S. money order, or bid bond, as liquidated damages for such failure, in the following amount constituting five percent (5%) of the Base Bid amount above
