As of January 6, 2023, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to December 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Request Category Code: Water Supply, Groundwater, WWTP, Equip., Well Drilling Description: The City of Fitchburg is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide design and construction administration services for Well No. 12 and Tower D as well as other system improvements necessary to place these facilities into service. Location maps are included in Appendix A and B. The City's intent is to construct a west zone well and pump house and a northeast zone water tower. The pump house shall include separate controls, generator and chemical addition rooms (fluoride/phosphate and chlorine). The City will prepare the Well Site Survey Report and the Wellhead Protection Plan for this proposed well. The tower shall include all components necessary for future carriers and a mixing system. The final scope of work will be developed by the City and the selected consultant during contract negotiations. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
