Renovation of a civil project in Berkeley Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Project Description - Contract No. CD1713 CWPCF Thickened Sludge Storage Blend Tank Rehabilitation, the Work, includes, but is not necessarily limited to: Demolish and remove the existing mechanical drive mixing mechanism, walkway and platform. Furnish and install new mixing system, with new walkway, platform, controls and staircase. Rehabilitate and repair the tank's internal concrete surface walls and apply concrete coating system. Perform manufacturer's recommended repairs to the existing aluminum dome cover and skirt system including modification to the existing equipment hatch for installation of the new mixing system. Structural work to include modifying existing tank floor system to provide improved access to the interior of the tank. Electrical work including conduits and wiring for new mixer motor, control panel, instrumentation and communication lighting, radar level sensor, and transmitter, lightning protection system, and other devices requiring power. Equipment and System Testing. The site is located Central Water Pollution Control Facility, 501 Hickory Lane, Bayville, NJ 08721, as shown on the Drawings. This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. This contract or subcontract is subject to the provisions of N.J.A.C. 7:22-3, 4, 5, 9 and 10. If a check is mailed, please direct it to the attention of the Engineering and Construction Department. Provide the name of the individual at the firm that is requesting the Bidding Documents to whom all correspondence generated during the bid period may be addressed (i.e. Item No. 6 below). Bidding Documents will be shipped only if the requesting party includes their overnight shipping service number. Bid Security - In accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:11-21, each Bid shall enclose Bid Security, as specified in the Instructions to Bidders, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bidders Bid, but not in excess of $20,000. Other parties interested in the Work are encouraged to attend the tour and pre-bid conference. All attendees are required to wear masks. Please copy the Engineering and Construction Department Contract Administrator Linda Salussolia (lsalussolia@ocua.com) on any emails or correspondence you may send to the Construction Manager or the Authority. The Authority is doing everything within its capabilities to protect employees' health, safety and welfare, while at the same time continuing to provide the level of services expected by our participants. We are committed to ensuring the workplace is safe and healthy for all employees. As a potential Bidder for this Project, the Authority asks that you screen any proposed attendees that you may have attend any site visit. Limit attendance to one attendee from your firm at the most. It is also asked of you, to perform a specific screening of your employee(s) whom may be assigned to attend these meetings out of an abundance of caution and in the interest of public health. The following questions are recommended to be asked, prior to these meetings: Are you having flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breathIn the last 14 days have you traveled to a high-risk area for transmission of COVID-19 Have you been in close contact with someone confirmed or is being evaluated for COVID-19Are you now or have you been under quarantine If any response to these questions is affirmative, please do not allow this employee to attend any pre-bid meeting or site visit for an Authority Project. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 et seq. equal employment opportunities; N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 corporate, LLC, and/or partnership ownership; N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 business registration of public contracts; and the "Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48. 8. Local Public Contract Requirements - The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Prevailing Wage Determination for the Work is Confirmation No. 78109. Requests for Interpretation - All questions or inquiries concerning the Bidding Documents or the Work shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer. Award Award subject to any agreed extension of the period for holding Bids, the Owner will act within sixty (60) days after the date of Bid opening to award the Contract lowest responsible bidder, reject all Bids or take any other appropriate action. The Owner expressly reserves the right to reject Bids, waive any minor informalities or non-material exceptions, re-advertise for Bids or withhold the award for any reason the Owner determines, in accordance with the applicable law. The award of this contract is subject to the 10-day review period provided by N.J.S.A. 40:20-71.3. Prevailing Wages The New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 et seq. is hereby made a part of the Contract. The Contractors execution of the Agreement is its guarantee that neither it nor any subcontractors it has employed to perform the Work are listed or are on record in the Office of Commissioner, Department of Labor and Workforce Development, as one who has failed to pay prevailing wages in accordance with applicable law.14. New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (NJIB) - This contract or subcontract is expected to be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust nor any of their departments, agencies, or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract. Completion date: Substantial Completion: 545 Calendar Days Final Completion: 605 Calendar Days
