The Board of Trustees of the Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hereby requests sealed bids to furnish all labor, equipment, tools and materials to make improvements to Fan Lots, Lot B and P1-P3 Road, Lot A, Lot E and Lot H, all located on the Edwardsville campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Bids will be received from 2022 SIUE Prequalified Asphalt/Road/Parking Lot/General Contractors and Electrical Contractors. SIUE reserves the right to award each project to multiple awardees. The University reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The proposed improvements in the Fan Lots, Lot B, and P1-P3 Road consists of cement modified base construction, hot-mix asphalt base and surface courses, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer drainage improvements, paint pavement markings, topsoil placement, seeding, LED lighting and all incidental and collateral work necessary to construct complete and functional parking lots according to the work shown on plans and special provisions. This is Bid #1. The proposed improvements in Lot A, Lot E, and Lot H consists of cement modified base construction, hot-mix asphalt base and surface courses, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer drainage improvements, underground detention, paint pavement markings, topsoil placement, seeding, LED lighting and all incidental and collateral work necessary to construct complete and functional parking lots according to the work shown on plans and special provisions. This is Bid #2. If SIUE is closed due to inclement weather on the pre-bid and/or bid opening dates, the pre-bid meeting and/or bid will be due the first day SIUE is open at the same time as referenced in the bid documents. The prequalification document will be due at the SIUE Purchasing Office a minimum of three business days prior to the bid opening. Bids will not be accepted from Contractors who have not submitted and received approval of the SIUE Prequalification Statement. In addition to completing SIUE's prequalification statement, all bidders may qualify to submit bids to state universities of Illinois only if they are a legal entity authorized to do business in Illinois prior to submitting the bid. All first-tier subcontractors also meet this requirement. This applies to both in-state and out-of-state firms. Failure to provide the Certificate of Good Standing (or other qualifications as noted in the form included with this document) with your bid will result in your bid being considered as non-responsive.
