The City of Meriden seeks the services of a contractor to furnish labor and materials to replace the boiler at Washington Middle School, 1225 No Broad Street, Meriden, CT 06450. Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Performance bond for One Hundred Percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the City of Meriden, will be required of the lowest responsible bidder. The attention of bidders is directed to the requirement for minimum wage rates to be paid under this contract. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten (10%) percent of the amount bid. The City of Meriden is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Only tested firestop systems shall be used in specific locations as follows: Penetrations for the passage of duct, cable, cable tray, conduit, piping, electrical busways and raceways through fire-rated vertical barriers (walls and partitions), horizontal barriers (floor/ceiling assemblies), and vertical service shaft walls and partitions.
