The Rural Community Water District of Georgetown County is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified engineering firms for professional engineering services for a SCIIP and RIA grant funded project. This project includes construction of a new 300,000-gallon elevated water tank, a new groundwater well, and approximately 3,900 LF of new water main. Questions Deadline: January 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM, Local Time This project is South Carolina Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP) and South Carolina Rural Infrastructure Authority (SCRIA) funded and the Contract award is contingent upon funding availability. All federal, state, and local terms and conditions are applicable. The Rural Community Water District of Georgetown County is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified engineering firms for professional engineering services for this project. The District shall evaluate the qualifications as submitted and select the most qualified firm, as determined by the District, to request a fee proposal and negotiate a contract. The District may request additional information as required from firms as they deem necessary to complete evaluation. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals submitted as determined to be in the best interest of the District. All statements of qualifications submitted shall remain firm for no less than one hundred twenty (120) consecutive calendar days from the RFQ deadline date. Firm Selection January 25, 2023 Design Completion October 2023 Advertise for Bids December 2023 - May 2024 Completion of Project August 2026 The District will form a selection committee made up of at least three staff members with knowledge of the project to select the most qualified firm based on the criteria listed in this RFQ. The District selection committee will review all responses and create a list of firms in a ranking order. In the event a contract cannot be negotiated with the selected firm, the second highest ranked firm will be selected for negotiations. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
