Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Suffolk, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Suffolk seeks qualified bidders for Turlington Road Culvert Rehabilitation - To provide all plant, labor, superintendence, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, incidentals, and other ancillary items necessary to complete the construction of Turlington Road Culvert Rehabilitation (RTE. 688) Structure 8064 Over Kilby Creek to the limits shown on the drawings in accordance with all specifications, terms, conditions, and drawings herein. This project is partially funded with State monies. Only VDOT prequalified contractors may bid on this project. All laws/regulations/procedures applicable to State purchasing will apply. UPC # 113701 IFB # 23055-JS Questions concerning this project must be in writing and addressed to the Contract Officer stated herein, and must be received no later than five (5) business days preceding the date that the bids are accepted. The DBE contract goal for this procurement is 5% If said work is not fully completed within 190 calendar days as stated in the Notice to Proceed, the Contractor shall be liable and hereby agrees to pay to the Owner as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the amount in accordance with VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications 108.06(b) per calendar day for each and every part of a day thereafter that said work remains incomplete. MBE (26.6%), WBE (6.9%), DBE (5%)
