Site work, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Eagan, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; water / sewer project; pre-engineered storage facility; and water / sewer project.
As of June 13, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, information regarding the awarded general contractor has not been confirmed at this time. A. The contractor shall also refer to the other divisions of the plans and specifications for information which pertains to the electrical section. B. The work included in the project shall include the furnishing of all required labor and materials for a complete and operable electrical system as indicated on the accompanying drawings and as required by the project manual inclusive of all appurtenances not specifically shown or covered by the specifications but required for complete operation of the electrical system as defined in the documents. The work shall also include the testing, adjustment, start-up and troubleshooting of the electrical equipment and the training of the Owner's operating personnel in its operation and maintenance. C. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to furnish a complete and fully operating system. The Contractor shall be responsible for all details which may be necessary to properly install, adjust and place in operation the complete installation. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for additional costs which may result from unauthorized deviations from the contract documents. A. All equipment and services provided under this Section shall be supplied by the supplier of Section 16950 - Instrumentation and Control. B. The Contractor shall furnish and install, complete, motor controllers, control components, control circuitry, etc. as required. All internal buswork and wiring shall be completed by the manufacturer and where connections must be completed between equipment sections in the field, the wiring or buswork, shall be terminated in each section of equipment in a manner to facilitate field connections. The Contractor shall furnish, properly sized and coordinated, connectors for the conductors entering the equipment. All equipment shall meet the requirements of NEMA standards and the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, where applicable. A. Supplier of equipment and services under this Section shall also provide all equipment and services specified in Section 16900 - Starters and Motor Control. B. It is the intent of the Contract Documents that all equipment specified in this Section of the specification be supplied by a single-source supplier ("Systems Integrator"). The supplier shall assume full responsibility along with the Contractor for furnishing, installing and start-up procedures so as to make the system operate per the intent of the Contract Documents. C. The work specified in this Section includes furnishing, installing, start-up, testing and adjusting of all required equipment, including instruments, equipment, hardware, software, wiring, accessory equipment, and training to provide a completely operational process instrumentation and control system. D. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to furnish a complete and fully operating system. The Contractor shall be responsible for all details which may be necessary to properly install, adjust and place in operation the complete installation. The Contractor shall assume full responsibility for additional costs which may result from unauthorized deviations from the Contract Documents. E. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor and supplier to examine all new and existing equipment that is transmitting a signal to, or receiving a signal from, equipment specified in this Section. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing signal converters, buffer amplifiers, and isolation devices to make signal levels, reference to ground, etc. compatible between devices specified in this Section and existing equipment. The project is located in the City of Eagan, Minnesota, which is located in Dakota County. A. Remove and replace existing pumps, gate valve, check valve, and surge relief valve/pressure relief valve. The project includes the removal of the existing precast wet will lid. B. Replace buried gate valves between the intake structure and lift station wet well. C. Furnish and install a new prefabricated building to house the controls and SCADA infrastructure for the lift station. D. Remove and replace the lower 6 feet of the bar screen/trash rack on the influent inlet structure, including the bracket tree and framing, with a new stainless steel trash rack, bracket tree, and framing.
