Below is the required maintenance to be performed on the abovementioned properties: a) Mowing of the properties, which include string trimming and edging of sidewalks. If clippings are heavy, you will mow twice. Mowing intervals shall not exceed fourteen (14) days, unless drought-like conditions do not require mowing. If the weather conditions are providing ample rain and the grass is growing at a standard or high rate, mowing intervals shall be no less than once (1) every seven (7) days. b) Deep core aeration for the courthouse lawn. c) Weed parking lot landscaping beds d) Pick up sticks or any debris on the properties e) Power blow all hard surfaces located on each property to remove any grass clippings. f) Mulch each property once per year g) Trim the trees, bushes and shrub throughout the seasons according to species of the plant(s). h) Special attention must be given to all outside areas on each property before holidays and festivals. i) Proof of Insurance $250,000 required. j) Indemnification and Hold Harmless Clause to Clinton County: The contractor shall indemnify and hold harmless from or connected with the performance of their mowing duties, Clinton County, State of Indiana. If the Board of Commissioners accepts your bid, you will be required to have on file a Certificate of Insurance, indicating liability coverage, for each occurrence, naming Clinton County, prior to the start of the project. This is also to include coverage for Worker s Compensation holding the County blameless. Contractor shall submit their ' bid structured in the following manner: Bid on a per mowing as stated in section (a), (c), (d) and (g) above/per location. Bid on a per aeration as stated in section (b) above/per location.Bid on a per mulch application as stated in section (e) above/per location. Bid on a per trimming of trees, bushes and shrubs as stated in section (f) above/per location Request for payment must be made by submitting an invoice after work is performed and must be submitted to the Clinton County Commissioners Office. The indemnification provided by this paragraph shall include all legal costs and attorney fees incurred by the County in connection with any such claim, action or proceeding. The contractor hereby releases the County from all liability for any accident, damage or injury caused to person or property in connection with the duties performed by the contractor.
