Renovation of a medical facility in Richmond, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The maternity Operating Room (OR) has issues with cooling due to condition of the existing air handling unit. The cooling capacity in the OR is insufficient to accommodate regular demand when occupied for surgeries. The scope of this project is to remediate the overheating issues by installation of new air handling units on the roof. This upgrade will help in providing adequate air quality, cooling, thermal comfort and air circulation in the operating room, complying with CSA 317.2 (Special Requirements for HVAC Systems in Healthcare Facilities).
