The work shall consist of the repairs and rehabilitation of wastewater lagoons and the repairs, rehabilitation, and replacement of sanitary sewers. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check or cashiers check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be furnished by each Bidder as required by the Contract Documents. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
