Description: Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements, as hereinafter described in general and as described in detail in the plans and specifications to be on file in the office of the City Manager, Maquoketa, Iowa. Project improvements include the following: Construction of concrete tankage and equipment for biological nutrient removal (Bio-P Basin) Conversion of existing chlorination system into ultraviolet (UV) disinfection system Conversion of existing anaerobic digestion system into aerobic digestion system (concrete tankage and equipment) Pretreatment system improvements - hydraulic modifications and equipment replacement Pumping upgrades - various pump replacements and installation of new mixed liquor recycle pumps Associated electrical upgrades, including new standby generator Associated yard and process piping upgrades Associated sitework and restoration
