Debris removal service for Wythe, Grayson, and Bland Counties of the Wytheville Residency of the Bristol District. The Contractor shall provide labor, supervision, equipment, fuel, transportation (mobilization), tools, traffic control signs and stands, supplies, and incidentals as necessary for performing the services described herein on an on-call, as needed basis to maintain safe and efficient operations in various locations on primary and secondary routes and VDOT Rights-of-Way in Wythe, Bland, and Grayson Counties. The intent of these services is to make roads passable and have debris removed from VDOT Right of Way during and at any point after any event, weather related or not, where VDOT determines, at its sole discretion, that there is a need for such services. VDOT reserves the right to perform any type, or portion, of work within the limits of this operation. The Contractor shall work with VDOT and other Contractors as necessary. Types of work that may be required in this contract include, but are not limited to, debris removal and disposal service, and roadway clearing service. VDOT in its sole discretion will determine when these services are needed. Any questions regarding this Invitation for Bids shall be addressed to Chelsa Taylor, chelsa.taylor@vdot.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of questions or other matters raised. Provide questions by close of business five (5) days prior to the bid due date. The contract period will be from date of award through October 31, 2023, with the opportunity for four (4) optional, consecutive one-year renewals.
