Sealed bids are hereby solicited for stream restoration using Natural Channel Design techniques of approximately 1,685 LF of Coon Branch and unnamed tributaries of the Coon Branch stream channel and 578 LF sanitary sewer installation, rehab, CCTV and new manhole installation. This project includes the demolition and reconstruction of a pedestrian bridge and the removal of naturally occurring asbestos rocks. The rocks shall be removed and disposed of at an approved facility. The contractor is responsible for all requirements of OSHA. 29 CFR 1926.1101. The work will occur North of Little River Turnpike, south of Malcom Ct. east of Interstate 495 and west of Hummer Road in the Annadale Community Park in Fairfax County, VA. This is a Lump sum price Contract. Contract length is 550 calendar days Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Information for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. The procedure specified under Section 2.2-4330(A) (i), VA Code Ann. shall apply: ". . . the bidder shall give notice in writing of his claim of right to withdraw his bid within two (2) business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure; . . .". The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County, Virginia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities and irregularities in bidding and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the County.
