As of February 15, 2023, the project has been awarded. A timeline for construction have not been confirmed at this time. The project consists of the installation of approximately 25,000 linear feet of 16 ductile iron water main, 675 linear feet of 12 ductile iron water main, 140 linear feet of 6ductile iron pipe, 16 Air Valve Chambers, a meter vault, all appurtenances, roadway, and lawn restoration along Park Avenue (SR 1006), Ferry Road (SR 1006), and Swamp Road (SR 0313) in Chalfont Borough, New Britain Township, and Plumstead Township in Bucks County, PA. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of North Wales Water Authority, or a Bid Bond in favor of North Wales Water Authority in the amount of 10% of the bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body under Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the date of the bid opening.
