Each bidder shall accompany his bid with a bidder's bond or certified check payable to the Porter County Treasurer for each item bid whenever the total of such bid is in excess of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) and said bond check shall not be more than ten (10) percent of the total bid. The surety on any bond must be acceptable to the Board of Commissioners. If there is no total specified on the bid, the minimum bond or certified check of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) will be required for each item bid. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, waive all informalities, or irregularities in bidding and to re-advertise. The Porter County Board of Commissioners will utilize evaluation criteria set forth in the bid pursuant to IC 5-22-7-2 and the bid shall be awarded to the lowest bidder responsible and responsive bidder pursuant to IC 5-22-7-8. However the Porter County Board of Commissioners will utilize IC 5-22-15- 20-9 when evaluating the bids.
