Submissions are invited from qualified professional firms practicing planning who are interested in providing services to create a Long-Range Facilities Plan for School District #62 (Sooke) (here in after called the LRFP and the School District). School District #62 (Sooke) (SD62) serves the Western Communities of the Capital Reginal District including the City of Langford, the City of Colwood, the District of Sooke, the District of Metchosin and the District of Highlands. The area is in a continued growth pattern where estimates project growth of over 50% through the next 20 years. The City of Langford leads that growth as the 3rd fastest growing community, per capita, in Canada with the City of Colwood and the District of Sooke also planning progressive development. The School District consists of three zones. The Belmont and Royal Bay family of schools' support Langford, Colwood, Highlands and Metchosin with the Milnes Landing family of schools supporting Sooke, Port Renfrew and the more western populations of the district. The school district grade configurations are K-5 in 19 elementary schools, 6-8 in 5 middle schools and 9-12 in 4 Secondary schools. The School District will post any addenda on the BC Bid website. It is the Respondent's sole responsibility to check the BC Bid website for any addenda issued prior to the closing date. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
