For FY23 Fiber Optic Splicing and Closure Installation - Area 1 - FC and SK Delivery location: KUB HOC Complex 4505 Middlebrook Pike Knoxville, TN 37921 Contract duration: One Time Purchase Contract renewal: Not Applicable Prices good for: Not Applicable Q & A deadline: Dec 13, 2022 4:00:00 PM EST The scope of the work in this contract shall include all splicing, preparation, and placement of approximately 4,127 enclosures / 32% of the total enclosures in FY23. Network connectivity will require approximately 38,000 single fusion splices and associated QA/QC and testing measures specified in this RFP. Splicing will be performed on existing aerial fiber cable while a smaller portion with take place on fiber pulled inside existing handholds. Splices will be detailed in the construction drawings and on supplemental splicing diagrams. Drop installations from terminals will be performed under a separate contract. KUB shall furnish materials, as described below, required for the work. All work must comply with the construction drawings and specifications.
