A partial list of tasks is shown below: 1.Survey area. Develop preliminary plans and rough cost estimates. Meet with Public Works staff on preliminary plans. Address the issues identified by the Public Works staff and other city departments. Perform final design calculations and develop final plans and specifications with cost estimates. Meet with City and allow City to review. Incorporate any changes into the final design that the City require from their reviews. Assist with bidding and construction (limited involvement). This project specifically consists of designing roadway improvements on Main Street, a minor collector in the citys transportation network. The 1,000-foot section ofMain Street located between Amundson Drive (west) and Amundson Road (east) is located within the Smithfield Transit Oriented Development (TOD) District, which has specific street design standards meant to accommodate and encourage slower speeds, pedestrian safety, and onstreet parking. Streets in the Smithfield TOD need to support the overall goal of a mixed use, compact, pedestrian-oriented Urban Village district. They should balance all forms of mobility while maximizing convenience for residents and visitors. All questions must be submitted through the link provided on the Public Purchase website.
