The New York State Office of General Services Design & Construction Group (OGS) intends to contract with an engineering firm to provide analysis and modeling of coastal processes, and Natural Resilience Measures or actions to conserve, restore or mimic natural landforms (or features) and processes that reduce risk from flooding and erosion, while providing other co-benefits to society, with emphasis on Lake Ontario, and other locations may be added as needed. Other coastal resiliency and environmental engineering projects which incorporate Natural Resilience Measures may be identified on an as needed basis. Firms must have expertise in geomorphology, coastal and nearshore habitats and species, coastal engineering, sediment budgeting, and GIS modeling. Firms must be capable of providing consulting, technical studies, engineering and design and construction phase services required for sediment banking, shoreline modification, restoration and restoration/conservation of natural longshore process and other solutions that restore the physical processes of the shore as outlined in the Scope of Services.
