Renovation of a manufacturing facility in Lansing, Michigan. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a manufacturing facility.
This scope of services describes the work, including "Deliverables" to be provided by the successful bidder (CONSULTANT) while collaborating with the Lansing Board of Water & Light (OWNER) in completing the detailed engineering and design for infrastructure to provide Hot Water Supply to the General Motors Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant (LGR-AP) located in Lansing, MI. A general construction design package shall be prepared by the successful bidder for OWNER to issue for bid. The design in the package shall include, but not be limited to, the installation of steam converter stations (SCS), stack economizers (SE), and a hot water supply & return (DISTRIBUTION) piping system. The CONSULTANT shall develop a Basis of Design document with input and approval from the OWNER to establish the requirements for the project. The contracting effort shall be led in accordance with the Division of Responsibilities section of this RFP. In addition to engineering and design services, the CONSULTANT shall provide bidding assistance and construction support as described herein. Construction Management and Startup & Commissioning will be completed under a separate contract, which may be with the CONSULTANT. On or before March 31, 2023, the CONSULTANT must provide a Preliminary Engineer's Opinion of Probable Project Costs and at least 90% Design Development.
