The City is soliciting Bids for the replacement of perimeter fencing of tennis courts which helps to protect the playing surfaces from non-court users while maintaining the limits of play and allowing securement of courts when not available for users at the Robinson Park, 46 Robinson Street, Markham, ON, L3P 1N6 The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: - Removal and disposal of existing tennis fence including chain link mesh, rails, all posts including footings and hardware and gates from the tennis courts; - Prior to removal of post footings, cut a minimum 12" square in front of each post, into court surface to a minimum depth of 5" and remove and dispose of. This will ensure court surface is not heaved while removing footing; - Drill new holes to a minimum of 4' deep and 12' in diameter; - 12" Sonotube to be installed the full depth and width of the hole and ensure proper compaction around sonotube; - Install new posts in concrete, ensuring they are plumb; - All drilled holes to be filled with concrete to 3" below grade; - Install two (2) 7' x 4', all new single gates, mesh and lockable latches; - Install new top and bottom rails - ensuring they are level; - Install mid rails between terminal posts and line posts and between gate posts and line posts; - Install all new 10' high 1 3/4 x 9 gauge galvanized chain link mesh; - All posts to be capped; - Install and compact HL3 asphalt in areas of in front of posts where asphalt was removed.
