Renovation of an educational facility in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
SEALED BIDS FOR: Prime/General Contractor and Filed Sub-Bid contracts are requested through the Office of Procurement. Bidding procedures are per Massachusetts General Laws (M.G.L.) Chapter 149 as amended and other applicable statutes. Chapter 149 requires that the Prime/General Contractor be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management in the category General Contractor. Sub-bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management in the following categories: Masonry, Metal Windows, Painting, Waterproofing, damp proofing and caulking. All questions regarding the bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement hbutton@springfieldcityhall.com) by December 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. All bidders are advised that the minimum wage rate schedule, issued by the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Standards are included in the specifications and shall prevail in the work on this project. All bidders are advised the project is subject to the City of Springfield Responsible Employer Ordinance (REO). The Chief Procurement Officer reserves the right to waive any informality in, or to reject any or all responses, if in the public interest to do so. Value reflects from GC bidding project The work is estimated to cost $1,663,218.00.
