Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bidders are required to comply with the Davis Bacon labor standards, including the payment of prevailing wages where applicable. Any and all questions are to be submitted through PennBid. Only the Successful Bidder for a contract will be responsible for payment of a fee to portal and for bearing the cost thereof. The amount of the fee due to PennBid is either 1/3% (0.0033) of the initial contract award amount for fixed fee contracts or 1/6% (0.00166) of the expected contract value for term contracts and will be invoiced by PennBid to the successful bidder upon award of a contract by the Local Contracting Unit. The minimum fee is set at $100.00 and the maximum fee is capped at $5,000.00. The Base Bid for General Construction Contract #2 consists of the interior renovation of six (6) existing housing units and two (2) common space areas, with work to include vinyl plank flooring, bathroom renovation, kitchen renovation, complete wall, ceiling and trim work painting and new light fixtures throughout, and also includes the installation of new plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems related to the kitchen and bathroom work, general carpentry, insulation, and radiator replacement. All related minor work, demolition, connections, plumbing, and electrical connections required to complete the installations will be performed by the Contractor and included in the Base Bid price for the Contract. Base Bid items for General Construction Contract #2 are listed on PennBid and pricing shall be provided on PennBid for each item as described. As part of this Bid Form, the sum total for all work associated with this project shall be shown below. This total shall match the sum total of the bid items on PennBid.
