Award amount is $627,609.80** 2022 Water Main Replacement Project Mea Lane, Harrington Avenue and Seagull Avenue: Removal and replacement of approximately 2,360 LF of existing water main with new 6-inch and 8-inch PVC C-900 pipe; abandonment of existing mains; installation of approximately 1,375 LF of water service laterals; removal and replacement of two (2) existing hydrants; installation of approximately (13) gate valves; Initial Pavement Restoration of approximately 2,415 SY and Final Pavement Restoration of approximately 7,125 SY; and all testing, disinfection, restriping, traffic control and site restoration required. Prospective Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit the job site prior to submission of BID, to familiarize themselves with site conditions. Bidders are required to comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. A Bid Bond drawn to the order of the Township of Long Beach in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security, but not more than $20,000.00. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond for the amount of the total bid within ten (10) days from the date of written acceptance of his proposal. Certificates of Insurance will also be required. The Township of Long Beach hereby reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof. The Township further reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any or all bids submitted, but any contract awarded will be to the lowest responsible bidder based on the lowest Total Bid Amount and to make such awards or take such action as may be in the best interest of the Township. m The Contractor shall not begin work on this project until upon receiving the Notice to Proceed. The Contractor shall complete all of the work called for under this contract in all parts and requirements by May 12,2023. It is anticipated that the bid award date will be on or about January 9, 2023.
