Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a fire / police facility in Ocala, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a 10,880-square-foot fire / police facility; and for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

This project is included in the Marion County's fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of January 10, 2024, contractor bidding is under evaluation. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal year 2024. A detailed scope has not yet been released. Fire Station 20 Golden Ocala Expansion. Due to the growth in the northwest section of Marion County, Fire Station 20 Golden Ocala requires an expansion to support increased services. The existing living quarters will be renovated, and one existing apparatus bay, approximately 880 square feet, will be added to the new living quarters footprint. Two additional apparatus bays, gear room, and storage area will be added to existing bays. The expansion will bring the four-bay station to an estimated 10,000 square feet. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
