Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 12/16/2022 11:00 AM (PST) The City of Ontario ("City") recognizes the need for Stand-By Generator Maintenance and Repair Services and is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide such services for the City. These services consist of furnishing materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals for the performance of this Maintenance Program. The general items of service to be done here consist of services by the City as the Municipal and Fleet Services Department directs. This is a State Prevailing Wage Project.
List all subcontractors being paid in excess of 1/2 of 1% of the total bid amount. Absent a named sub for any portion of the work, Bidder agrees he is qualified and will perform that portion of the work
Bidders may not bid as a prime and also submit a bid as a subcontractor.
It is the bidder's responsibility to become familiar with the contract documents in their entirety.
All forms in the bid booklet must be properly completed to be deemed responsive.
The City reserves the right to order more, less, or no items at the "per unit cost" stated in the bid proposal.
The City reserves the right to award its total requirements to one bidder, or to apportion those requirements among several Bidders as the City may deem to be in its best interests.
Award of contract will be made by City Council.

If bidding on "or equals" or "compatible" product(s) bidder(s) MUST provide specification sheets for all "or equal" or "compatible" as a pdf attachment in the "Attachments" tab. Final determination as to equivlency is the sole prerogative of the City.
The City has established a local preference to vendors located within the City limits of Ontario a 1 3/4% advantage in the City's determination of low bid, and a 3/4% advantage of vendors outside the City but within the County of San Bernardino.

This is a State prevailing wage project. Bidder must comply with SB854 - Public Works Contractor Registration Program.
