The project involves providing a new packaged utility plant immediately south of DHNP. The existing plant will remain in use while the new packaged plant is being constructed. Once the new plant is connected to the buildings utilities and is functioning, the equipment in the existing plant will be decommissioned and removed, allowing for future equipment build-out space. The new plant will be constructed in two phases. Phase 1 includes the chiller plant and main electrical gear, including the chillers, cooling towers, and chilled and condenser water pumps. Phase 2 includes the heating-side equipment, including hydronic boilers, steam boilers, a deaerator, and domestic water heaters. The electrical scope also includes two portions, new 15kV switchgear and new 480/277V switchboards. New 15kV will be installed in a walk-in enclosure to the east of the emergency paralleling switchgear enclosure. The new switchgear will distribute primary electrical to DHNP, DBGL and the Service building. The 480/277V switchboards will distribute power to the new and existing chiller plants. Failure to provide this information may result in the respondents proposal being considered as non-responsive. We also request that you attach a letter of intent from a surety company indicating your firm's ability to bond for the construction cost proposed for this project.
